Company Description
Elaine Smith offers freelance communications services (writing, editing, etc.) for both print and digital platforms, as well as project management.
She has been doing projects for York University for a decade or more. She received a National Newspaper Award in 1999 and has since written for the New York Times and the Toronto Star, as well as numerous educational institutions.
Community & Social Impact
The stories I write are promotional and give visibility to diversity initiatives and accomplishments by York faculty, staff or students, as well as programs that benefit diverse populations. Spreading the word to a wider audience burnishes York's reputation as a university that cares about diversity issues.
