Yael Sulkin graduated with B.A. Honours in Actuarial Science from York University in 2018. She is now a full-time Actuarial Analyst at Sun Life Financial, one of the world’s largest and oldest life insurance companies.

Yael began her journey at York University in 2015: “The Actuarial Science program is great because it is designed so that students are able to progress and complete exams while studying. The courses offered at York are catered to different exams and help provide the technical knowledge required in the actuarial field”. She emphasizes that: “With the support of the staff and the Actuarial Science Student Association, students are provided with ample networking opportunities. Exposure to a variety of insurance companies provided me with the opportunity to pick a role that best suits my strengths and interests, and led me to a career that is both exciting and fulfilling”.

Before graduating from York, Yael completed two co-op terms and later accepted a full-time Actuarial Analyst position at Sun Life Financial.
