In Winter 2022, in keeping with the policy of the Senate of York University, most classes in the Faculty of Education will be on campus.
By December 1, 2021, you must have completed YUScreen and uploaded your vaccination information, or have an approved exemption in order to participate in any of the following activities:
- All in-person courses
- All in-person practicum placements: Practicum placements in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree are York University sanctioned activities and fall under the Vaccination Mandate Policy of York University. In cases where a practicum placement does not require proof of vaccination, you still must comply with York University’s Vaccination Mandate. In cases where the practicum placement requires additional procedures, over and above those of York University, you must also adhere to these procedures.
- In-person experiential education activities such as community placements: Any activities related to courses in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Educational Studies degree programs that require in-person attendance, also fall under the Vaccination Mandate of York University. If you are unsure if this applies to you, please upload your vaccination information.
In short, if you have not uploaded your vaccination certificate into YUScreen, please act now so that you can access campus and all in-person activities in Winter 2022. Otherwise, you run the risk of being de-enrolled.
