FGS Staff Biographical Statements
Jordyn Gray-McInnis
As the Executive Officer within the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) and someone who works closely with the Dean in realizing the strategic vision and initiatives of FGS, I have a vested interest in the outcome of the work of the search committee. I recognize the significance of this search and would be honored to serve on this committee.
M. Michael Schiff
I am currently a staff member in the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Within or related to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, I have been: a staff member, a manager, a graduate assistant, a teaching assistant, a graduate program assistant, and a graduate student in three degrees; an Executive Committee member as a student; a staff member on the standing committees of Faculty Council; and a member of Council as a student, staff member and manager.
I have also served on executive hiring committees for: the Lee Wiggins Childcare Centre in the Student Centre; two union offices; the campus FM radio station; and the graduate-related restaurant.
I also served as a union steward.
I have served previously on the selection committee for the new Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Associate Vice-President Graduate, but not in the most recent searches.
I would represent the staff of the Faculty of Graduate Studies with the most experience, and with high expectations of justice, fairness, diversity, and respect for others and for graduate education.
