Persuasive Pitching and Networking Skills - Capturing Attention (Faculty of Graduate Studies)

Led by Ric Phillips, an expert in communications, public speaking techniques and body language analysis, this session will focus on elevator pitch concepts and formulas for networking and communicating ideas. Whether you are preparing for a class or conference presentation, or thesis defence, or are exploring entrepreneurial opportunities with potential partners, you will learn effective techniques to make complex research or business ideas easy for others to understand and support.

Ric Phillips is an executive communication coach and corporate trainer who helps anyone communicate simply, clearly and confidently. He has taught business communication skills seminars locally at Seneca College, University of Toronto, Brock University, Schulich Executive Education Centre and York University, and outside of Canada in China, Russia, Israel, France, Armenia, Kazakhstan and the United States.
