Julissa is a first-year Biochemistry major whose love for the performing arts has been shaped by her Jamaican roots and years of experience in speech and drama, and dance. This is her first time participating in Show Choir. Her accolades include standout success in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) festivals and winning the 2023 Talk the Poem National Poetry Recitation Competition. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, reading, surfing the internet and creating DIY skin care products. While her life’s purpose is still unclear, she strives to leave every room better than she found it; moving with intention, humility, and the reminder that gratitude is a must!
