“I hope to help ensure that York University continues to strengthen its position as one of Canada's leading universities while remaining true to its commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and social mobility.”
Peter Marrone is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and a significant investor, of Allied Gold Corporation, a company which he and his management team took public in 2023. Before Allied, he served as Executive Chairman of Yamana Gold Inc., a company he founded in 2003.
Peter's connection to York University began as a student at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he earned his LL.B. That initiative reflected his own experience and desire to help create opportunities for future generations of students.
