Pierre Elliott Trudeau Fellowship at York University

Overview

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Fellowship at York University is made possible through the sale of the limited edition, The Essential Trudeau, edited by Ron Graham. The award will assist graduate students in the humanities and social sciences with travel costs, subsistence, copying and other related research expenses at archives, libraries and repositories in Canada and abroad.

Value and Duration

  • One award up to $3,750 (Subject to change)

Eligibility

  • Full-time York graduate students
  • Selection criteria includes:
    • Selection will be based on academic excellence and strength of the research project
    • Research proposals must be on file with FGS for theses and dissertations
    • Research proposals must be on file with the graduate program for MRPs

Deadlines

  • Applications are due by February 28.

How to Apply

  • Students must update their profile and apply through the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) system.
  • Submit a personal statement and a copy of the research proposal explicitly indicating how the award will be used. Please provide a breakdown of all expenses, if the costs will be incurred in the future then a detailed budget is acceptable.
  • Updated copy of transcript/grade report to demonstrate GPA (an unofficial transcript or grade report from student records are also acceptable).
  • Updated copy of CV.
