Overview

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Fellowship at York University is made possible through the sale of the limited edition, The Essential Trudeau, edited by Ron Graham. The award will assist graduate students in the humanities and social sciences with travel costs, subsistence, copying and other related research expenses at archives, libraries and repositories in Canada and abroad.

Value and Duration

  • One award up to $3,750 (Subject to change)

Eligibility

  • Full-time York graduate students
  • Selection criteria includes:
    • Selection will be based on academic excellence and strength of the research project
    • Research proposals must be on file with FGS for theses and dissertations
    • Research proposals must be on file with the graduate program for MRPs

Deadlines

  • Applications are due by February 28.

How to Apply

  • The applications for The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Fellowship at York University are accepted through the Award Application portal. The applicant's statement section should outline how the student's experience and current research are aligned with the scope of the award and a budget of estimated expenditures.
    Upload required material(s), merged into one PDF file, 1) Supervisor’s support, 2) Proof of Travel and research related expenses (boarding passes, tickets, receipts etc.).
