Overview
The Laurenne Kredentser Memorial Award is meant to recognize a student's volunteer work and contribution to the community at large, while encouraging the award winner's ongoing studies and facilitate future contributions to the mental health community. It will be awarded annually to incoming and current students in the Master of Arts program in Critical Disability Studies.

Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate financial need (through the Student Financial Profile), be in good academic standing and submit a one-page statement outlining:
a) how mental health has touched their lives;
b) their volunteer activities;
c) their plans to contribute to the mental health community after graduation
Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from an organization or an individual, who is arm's length from the applicant, attesting to the applicant's participation in, and impact on, any community-based or volunteer organizations, with a preference to work performed in the mental health community.
