Seminar: Increasing Ambient Temperature Disrupts Sleep and Impairs Cognitive Function

Record-breaking heat waves has had a multitude of effects on the health and environment for those residing in Sub-Saharan Africa. In this seminar, Dahdaleh faculty fellow Godfred Boateng and Dr. Gabriel John Dusing will examine the effects of extreme heat on sleep quality and cognitive decline among adults over the age of 50, and especially women. They will share their research methodology and conclude with climate mitigation and adaptation practices that aims to reduce the effects of global warming.
