This is a non-exhaustive list of some past and current experiential education courses in the Faculty of Health. Please note that in many cases the inclusion of experiential education in a course will vary from year to year, depending on who is teaching the course.
Students can contact the course director to confirm whether the course will incorporate experiential education. Course directors can contact the EE coordinator if they would like their EE course to be listed.
Classroom-Focused EE
Classroom-focused EE refers to a wide variety of experiential activities, including: guest speakers, role playing, visual media, case studies, simulations, workshops and laboratory courses, course-based research or outside of the classroom through interviews with professionals in a particular field, participation in community events, and visits/field trips. Community-Focused EE
Community-focused EE provides opportunities for students to interact with the community, whether that is within or outside the classroom. Community partners may come into the classroom to present a challenge or question that students address and develop solutions to, or students may work with the partner on-site to support a community-identified project.
