Visual criminology suggests that crime and its control cannot be understood separately from their representation. This course explores the role of images and imaging technology in crime and punishment, as well as the complex ways in which crime, criminality, and its control are visualized, constructed and framed through various forms of visual technologies, materials, and modes of representation
Prerequisite: SOSC/CRIM 1650, with a grade of at least B.
