Overview and recommendations for Ontario universities

This Fact Sheet is designed to offer guidelines and orientation to Ontario colleagues and students when identifying the right universities in Baden-Württemberg for their exchange. For any questions, please feel free to reach out to Tina Bebensee, OBW coordinator: exchange.programs@uni-konstanz.de.

General recommendations:

1. As the German course catalog is only published 1-2 months before the classes start, we recommend to browse courses from former semesters for orientation.
2. No German language proficiency is needed to participate in the OBW program. However, for some courses and/or departments in BW, German proficiency is necessary to follow German taught classes.
3. As comprehensive universities, the course offer at each institution is very broad. This Fact Sheet provides some English-taught recommendations, but students can join classes from all departments and also study across disciplines, combining different fields of study.
