“In recognition of the recommendations provided to FGS Council by two roundtables – Nothing Less than Justice: a Faculty/Graduate Student Roundtable on the Future of Graduate Studies at York – on DEDI (Decolonization, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) and graduate studies, and in congruence with the University Academic Plan as well as the directives included in the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion 2022-2027 Strategy,
“be it resolved that all standing committees of FGS Council develop material ways to add DEDI to the mandate and enact it in the work of the given committee.
“Mechanisms will be put in place for committee chairs to consult with the Vice-President Equity, People and Culture office as well as FGS Academic Planning and Policy Committee (APPC) in time for final approval by APPC in November for presentation to and approval by FGS Council no later than December 7, 2023.”
