Butterfly is a grassroots organization which organize Asian and migrant sex workers and advocate for their rights.
Job Description:
Support Butterfly in various programming requirements, including but not limited to:
- Research.
- Social media campaigns.
- Graphic design.
- Video and publication production (e.g., educational materials, campaigns).
- Gathering audio and video materials.
- Event organization.
- Advocacy efforts.
- Fulfilling other requested duties, etc.
- Interview stakeholders and community members.
- Story telling projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong sense of social justice.
- Support for the rights of Asian migrant sex workers.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability.
- Capable of working under tight timelines.
- Punctual and displaying professionalism in all assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Proficiency in researching and effectively summarizing findings.
- Creative and openness to new communication and media approaches.
Additional Assets:
- Language skills: proficient oral and written communication in Asian languages (e.g., Korean, Chinese, Indian); preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience and knowledge related to migration and sex work.
