1. Social impact + thought leadership - We collaborate with organizations to develop programming, events, and thought leadership content that elevates underrepresented communities and contributes to social change.
2. TV, film + digital media production - We engage, entertain, and activate audiences through the production of TV, film, and digital media projects for major broadcasters, streaming services, media outlets, and organizations.
3. Influence + strategic storytelling - We take a collaborative approach to transforming stories into attractive, captivating narratives that will influence policy, improve representation in screen-based media, and tap into funding opportunities.

Job Description:

Content Marketing

  • Assist in the planning, creation, and management of a content calendar across various social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
  • Develop and publish engaging content, including graphics, videos, blog posts, and newsletter.
  • Monitor comments, messages, and reviews, responding in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics to inform future strategies.

Market & Platform Research

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, needs, competition, and opportunities in the social impact space.
  • Assist in customer segmentation and target audience profiling.
  • Use research findings to inform marketing and outreach strategies.

Business Development

  • Assist in the development and execution of business strategies aimed at company growth.
  • Help identify potential partnerships and collaborations that align with the company's mission and goals.
  • Attend meetings, events, and workshops as needed.

Communications Outreach & Other Assignments

  • Build a media list from existing network and segment for tiered outreach.
  • Research earned media opportunities.
  • Support the development of film and television projects, TBD.
  • Assist with other partner and stakeholder projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field.
  • Familiarity and experience using major social media platforms and management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in the social impact space, with a focus on intersectional gender equity.
  • A high-level understanding of the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, decolonization, and belonging in the business environment.
  • Ability to research and summarize research findings clearly.
  • Creative self-starter that embraces collaboration and takes initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of screen-based media landscape in North America and major outlets.

Additional Assets:

Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, SEO, blog writing, and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
Knowledge of and experience using ChatGPT and other AI-assisted platforms is an asset.
