Placement Organization: VESTA
Position Title: Content Creator - Impact
Working Site’s Location: Toronto, On

Company Bio:

VESTA is a tech social enterprise creating solutions to help persons who have experienced gender-based violence. Vesta is a trusted resource that provides a safe and secure digital space for those who want to record, seek support, or report their experience.
We’re on a mission to eradicate rape culture by improving the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of individuals who have experienced violence. We help them navigate access to health, legal and police services. We also develop partnerships to streamline processes and bring services together to meet the needs of individuals seeking guidance and support.

We have a theory of change that hypothesizes low reporting rates in sexual violence cases is a complex and multifactorial problem. Low rating rates block effective collection of data, encourages individuals to remain silent and limits innovation, funding, and services to support survivors. We align with UN SDGs 3, 5, 11 and 16 but we require assistance to help us effectively communicate that to our stakeholders.

Job Description:

The Content Creator - Impact will develop and create written and video content. They will also research and write blog posts for our resource library on topics such related to the UN SGDs, how work and theory of change supports survivors, institutions and communities. They will also review analytics to improve content.

Our goal is to connect and reach more survivors and potential partners and collaborators through the mediums that they use the most.

This is a primarily remote position with some in office days/hours.
