Migrant Workers and Human Rights
Examines precarious forms of labour migration in the context of human rights legislation, migrant "illegality," and migrant counterstrategies. It looks at the impacts on migrants and their families of global economic restructuring, and whether human rights protocols provide an adequate response to them. Special attention is given to community initiatives. Course credit exclusion: AP/SOCI 3790 3.00 (prior to Fall 2013).
