3rd year BSW students win second place for Best Upper Year Research Project

Congratulations 3rd year BSW students Kari Martin, Michelle Short and Alyson Joseph for winning second place for Best Upper Year Research Project at the Undergraduate Research Fair on Wednesday February 24, 2016.

The poster was based on the analysis of 145 surveys collected at the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto in October and and November 2015. This was as an experiential education project, in which students are required to collaborate on a real world research project with a community partner, for the Foundations of Social Work Research course directed by Dr. Wendy McGuire.

Other group members who participated in data collection and analysis included: Sara Atherton, Maria Cascioli, Melissa Donnelly, Paul Frost, Anita Modor, and Alyssa Stoner. The poster has also been accepted to the Canadian Association of Social Work Educators conference in June 2016.

Great work and a wonderful achievement!
