The Project Management Workshop is designed to teach some of the basics of project management and how these basics can be used in everyday real-world experiences, from planning a theatre production to starting your own business. The workshop is led by Dave Crawford, associate producer (Strategic Operations) for Vanier College Productions in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS). Crawford is a certified project management professional (PMP) and has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years. As a member of the Vanier College Productions community, he was the founding producer of the Vanier Improv Company (VIC), directed The Laramie Project, and has had other numerous roles both on and off-stage with VCP. He is a graduate of the York Theatre Program and has worked on numerous independent theatre projects in Toronto.

The Expert/Career Panel – March 22, 7 p.m.

The Expert/Career Panel Workshop will feature York Alumni. Hear how they're putting their degrees into action. The panellists will share stories about their careers, offering insights about the many ways you can apply your degree to the real world. This workshop will be led by Arielle Branitsky, assistant producer for Vanier College Productions in LA&PS. Branitsky is an independent contractor in the fields of Jewish education and experiential design. She has lived in six different cities around the world and has a master's degree in Jewish education and non-profit management from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. A proud VCP alumna, she received the VCP Hero award in 2008 and has stayed involved post graduation as a member of the alumni committee.
