AP/PRWR 3004 3.0 Books and Bookmaking in the 21st Century

This course considers the role of books in our culture now and in the future. Through lectures, workshops, and simulations, students learn how publishers affect the content, appearance, and reception of the books they publish. Prerequisite: AP/PRWR 2006 3.00

AP/PRWR 3003 3.0 Introduction to Corporate/Organizational Writing

This course familiarizes students with the expectations,requirements, and conventions of corporate/organizational communication, and develops the skills needed to become a successful writer in a public or private sector professional environment. AP/PRWR 3002 3.0 Introduction to Periodical and Publishing Writing

Offers an introductory survey of the primary genres involved in periodical publication, both newspapers and magazines. Genres addressed include news and investigative reports, commentary, reviews, profiles. The course attends also to the differential effects of subject matter on genre. AP/PRWR 3001 3.0 Intermediate Digital Authoring

The course considers authoring in the context of online environments and theories of such work. It introduces strategies for composing, editing, and promoting one's writing online.
