Job Description:

Lead Publishing & Content Curator

We are looking for students to help develop and distribute newsletters and site content that is relevant to our organization's cause, our partners' services and our audiences' interests.

We think this placement could include:

  • Creating weekly newsletters with helpful information so readers feel inspired.
  • Manage the social posting on LinkedIN.
  • Start a motivational quotes and health tips/facts file for a future roll out feature to premium account holders.
  • Designing the features of publications.
  • Making a final determination about what will be published where and when.
  • Coordinating frequency of publications.
  • Write blog articles and other content pieces on assigned topics in line with our monthly themes.
  • Curate new wellness content for written publications as well as Pinterest imaging.
  • Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story.
  • Interview providers to write special interest pieces boosting their businesses.
  • Work with colleagues to record and edit interviews using a pre-determined Q&A flow.

Digital Media Copy & Video Producer

We are looking for a student to create and produce several media based initiatives for both promotion and proprietary use within our company's digital platform.

We think this placement could include:

  • Research and competitor analysis.
  • Script pitch for compelling health providers call to action/recruitment video.
  • Filming scheduling or Creative Video Design for the visual components.
  • Compiling script and video with editing required with effects.
  • Design functional "bot" or "avator" for digital channel HIP Tips.
  • Implement the right "tips" after determining the users journey and where our help feature should pop up.
  • Write the supportive content for the HIP Tips.
  • Attending virtual events to generate a demo reel of the users experience to be used in public relations.
  • Source media channels to potentially promote the media upon with attention to target markets, international channels and audience numbers.
  • Create an intro visual while users wait for sessions to start for our video platform.
  • Work with colleagues to help support video production of several highlighted business owners through short, compelling interview vlogs.

Social Media Events & Listings Coordinator

We are looking for a student to take our current brand guidelines and generate a series of social templates that will be supportive of our directory listings and event calendar.

We think this placement could include:

  • Create usable social templates and advertising banners for our channels and circulated content (newsletters/emails).
  • Transfer existing and stocked content into the digital templates, source relevant images and ensure the design copy matches our brand look and feel.
  • Design holiday, event based and service listing posts to highlight vendors, partners and other elements of our platform that encourage sales. (including but not limited to e-commerce and products hosted/ advertising options /etc).
  • Review the analytics being generated through past posts and assess the metrics to assist posting times, best types of content and increase audience engagement with our proposed strategies.
  • Review marketing strategies and use to assist social posting and content calendar.
  • Make social post captions and work with Social Media/Digital Team on key word strategy for their hashtag/SEO scope.
  • Work with colleagues in both Digital and Social departments to assist with their responsibilities and provide ideas supportive of the team's goals/visions.
  • Connect with providers on the platform as well as our partners to determine their needs for added exposure and create a process for requisitions of content/photos - including templates, filing system, creation of posts as well as a system and scheduling of reporting on their analytics and any affiliate sales tracking's through embedded codes.
  • Assign RSS to posts as required and links to blog content.
  • Create statuses for FB to engage audiences regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Students should know about creative writing, marketing, and communications.
  • Students should be well-being and holistic health knowledgeable with interests in alternative therapy and whole-self-care.
  • Students should be innovative, self-starters and eager to capture audiences with their content.
  • A student or team with excellent writing and creative skills would be the ideal candidate for this project. Students will be required to use our google share and pay good attention to details.
  • Students should know about videography, media, and communications.
  • A willingness to be mentored and involved with a start up in the SAAS industry with a humanized, global mission.
  • Individuals who are self starters, can create realistic objectives for their learning experience and deliver in line with the placements timings.
  • Individuals who are looking to create meaningful content to use in their future portfolios or as samples of work done in pursuit of future career ambitions.
  • Individuals dedicated to their roles growth and innovative approaches to their individual efforts. We welcome new ideas and ways to best assist our long-term goals. Ideation and forward thinking are huge assets to our team from individuals.

Additional Assets:

We are open to customizing and fostering a specific desire an intern may have in design, creative, sales, advertising or content creating as the overall role includes a % of each area. If there is a niche the intern aligns with - then we can create the term based around their long-term goals and desires to be mentored in that.

These roles are entirely virtual and although there will be timelines and targets, we expect the intern to manage their own time on deliverables and design weekly OKRs (Objective Key Results) to best communicate their remote activities and plans for their work tasks.

We spearhead weekly team sessions that are the highlights of most placement staff's overall experience with HIP. These meetings, albeit remote, are the cultural heart of our brand and business model. With engaging icebreakers, wellness checks and a weekly "brainstorm" question to take away as homework... The flow of these mandatory meetings allows strategies to be born, ideas and creativity to be shared and valuable discussions to be appreciated. In our experience, the majority of those open to team involvements have relayed that they love the basis that everyone is able to get involved outside of their own roles responsibilities and truly assist the big picture.
