Paul Brienza is a graduate of the Sociology program at York. He graduated in 2008 and has been teaching in the Department of Equity Studies for approximately 8 years. He has developed a portfolio that includes expertise in the areas of Sociology of Law and the Critical study of Human Rights. 

He is currently researching the relationship between philosophy and human rights. He is placing particular emphasis on the origin of human rights in international law and how it has become a factor in global politics.
