Getting Started

We want to ensure you are welcomed at York and ready to start on your new journey to success. After you are accepted to the program there are many resources available to help new IEP students get ready for their courses and access university services. IEP students can access computing, library and student services information to support them as they begin at the University. Browse the resources listed below and review our quick links to find out about what you can do to get started.

YU Card

Use your York University ID to access key services such as the library, recreation centre, events and discounts.

Passport York

This username and password can be used to login to York’s online services such as Moodle, the library, Enrolment, Student Accounts, etc. You will be provided with step-by-step instructions during Academic Orientation before start of the term. 

Change your PPY Password

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it.

Student Email

All York students have a centrally supported email account, which is assigned when you create your Passport York Login.

Laptop Loans

York is currently offering a laptop loan program to students in need. Take advantage of this program to enhance your remote learning.

MS Office 365 & Computing Services

As a York student, you have access to various computing, printing and other IT resources. Be sure to take advantage of these tools to benefit your studies.

My Online Services

Access information about fees, transcripts, awards and more in an easy-to-use online dashboard. Log in with your Passport York account.

Library

Enrich your learning and research with books, scholarly publications and other materials with our extensive library collections. Study spaces available.

LinkedIn Learning

Take advantage of our LinkedIn Learning subscription to pick up additional skills.

eLearning

Courses can be fully online or have a mix of online and in-person learning. The eLearning team is here to help you understand your options, get started and find success in the online classroom.

Internet Access

Stay safe and follow all applicable rules and regulations when accessing the internet at York.

Student Portal

The portal pulls together information from across the University and tailors it to each individual student. Log in using your Passport York.

Bookstore

Get the textbooks, course kits and all other materials to succeed in your classes.
