IBM offers Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) of $10K value to support new Systems Administration course.

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a form of cloud computing where a vendor provides users with access to computing resources such as servers, storage, and networking. Organizations use their own platforms and applications within a service provider's infrastructure, without the need to purchase, install and maintain expensive on-site physical infrastructure.

ITEC2210, the School's introductory Systems Administration course, offers the unique opportunity for each student to build, configure and secure their own Linux server. However, given the prevalence of IaaS solutions in the industry, in addition to using on-sight infrastructure, the School decided to explore having students exposed to the particularities of a complex industrial-scale IaaS platform.

That is when we turned to IBM Canada for help. IBM responded with an in-kind contribution valued at $10,000 to use their IBM Cloud service. Now students will be able to complement their experience working with on-sight infrastructure with valuable exposure to this important industrial-scale IaaS platform.
