Lisa has been practicing as an independent Human Resources Consultant and Coach since 2009. Lisa’s consulting focuses on improving human resources initiatives within small to medium size organizations, with a strong focus on training and recruitment initiatives.  Lisa’s coaching practice mainly focuses on assisting professionals to improve public speaking and communication skills, career management strategies and leadership practices.  Lisa’s practice has spanned across multiple industries including telecommunications, consumer packed goods, real estate, environmental services, non-profits and more. Prior to becoming a consultant, Lisa's professional career included roles within marketing and account management at large organizations including McMaster University, PepsiCo, and Research in Motion (now BlackBerry).

Lisa has been a faculty member at York University since 2008. Lisa teaches many courses at the 4^th year undergraduate level including Issues in Human Resources Management, Negotiations, Career Management and Executive Coaching. In 2014, Lisa was awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in the contract faculty category for her exceptional course design, facilitation and her focus on student support and success. Lisa has spoken several times at York University’s annual Teaching in Focus Conference with a mandate of sharing and promoting innovative and experiential teaching practices.
