David J. Doorey

Dr. David Doorey is a professor of law who specializes in labour and employment law and labour relations. Professor Doorey has previously served as Director of Osgoode Hall Law School’s Master of Laws program in Labour and Employment Law and as Director of the School of Human Resource Management. His research has been published in leading Canadian and international law journals and cited by the Supreme Court of Canada. His leading text The Law of Work is used across Canada in universities and colleges. Professor Doorey is a Senior Research Associate at Harvard Law School’s Centre for Labor and a Just Society and has been a visiting professor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law and Harvard Law School. He is called to the law bars of Ontario and British Columbia and was educated at the University of Toronto (B.A., M.I.R.), London School of Economics and Political Science (LLM Labour Law) and Osgoode Hall Law School (J.D., PhD).  Professor Doorey is interested in sports collective bargaining and player representation and will teach sports law courses in the Bachelor of Sports Management program.
