COVID-19 “long-haulers” may seem new but, as Health & Society professor Kenton Kroker explains in his article in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ), a different kind of long-hauler from the 1918 flu pandemic should be considered by way of patients who suffered from acute cases of Encephalitis lethargica.
