Jason Reynar

Municipal Lawyer & Chief Operating Officer, Thomson Rogers LLP

Jason Reynar is a municipal lawyer and Chief Operating Officer at Thomson Rogers LLP in Toronto. Over the past two decades, he has held senior leadership roles across the public and private sectors, including Chief Administrative Officer, Municipal Solicitor, Municipal Clerk, utilities board chair, Vice President—Strategy, and law firm partner. His work has focused on municipal innovation and governance, infrastructure, sustainability, and community-building across Ontario.

Jason teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Public Policy & Administration, Schulich School of Business, and through the Association of Municipal Clerks, Treasurers and Managers. He is also Co-Director of the Osgoode Professional Development Certificate in Municipal Law & Governance.

Jason holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph; an LL.B and LL.M (Municipal Specialization) from Osgoode Hall Law School; and, an M.B.A. and Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business. He is an Accredited Director with the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
