Students who live in York Region will soon be able to study close by, with easy access to transit on campus. Construction is well underway for York University’s long-awaited Markham Campus. The campus will open in Spring 2024.
The new campus will embed York University in the heart of Markham, one of the most diverse and dynamic cities in Canada. It’s an ideal home for a community of positive changemakers, with opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate directly with employers, startups and community partners to right the future. Markham is also home to YSpace Markham and the IBM Innovation Space — Markham Convergence Centre.
Physically, Markham Campus will accommodate 4,200 students and is being designed to facilitate collaboration between programs and faculties. This will promote unexpected connections, bringing people together to create positive change.
