About

York University’s Markham Campus is located in one of Canada’s most diverse and dynamic urban communities — home to hundreds of corporate head offices, more than 1,500 high-tech and life sciences companies, and a growing startup ecosystem. Academic programs at the campus focus on technology, entrepreneurship, and the impact of innovation on industry and society.

The campus expands access to higher education in York Region through leading-edge, tech-forward programs and research grounded in socially responsible innovation. It also serves as a hub where students connect directly with employers, startups, and community partners through collaboration and experiential learning.

Designed to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, the Markham Campus fosters an intimate, interactive, and supportive learning environment while maintaining strong connections to York University’s broader multi-campus network.
