Accessible Washrooms
Universal accessible washrooms are located on every floor in consistent locations to support accessibility and ease of navigation.

Adaptive Lab
A dedicated third-floor study space for students registered with Accessibility Services, offering private and collaborative study areas, a low-sensory environment, and access to assistive technology.

Campus Amenities & Accessibility
Key amenities like the Wellness Studio, Bookstore, and Food Services are located on the main floor.

Classrooms
Learning spaces are designed with flexibility in mind, featuring adjustable desks, moveable seating, accessible layouts, and customizable lighting.

Inclusive & Accessible Changing Spaces
The campus universal change room is located in Rm. 1020 next to the JD Wellness Studio on the main floor. This fully accessible, barrier-free space provides privacy for all users and includes private change areas, washrooms, and showers for universal use.

Lactation & First Aid
Private lactation rooms are available on the 2nd and 7th floors, with the 7th-floor space also serving as a First Aid suite.

Navigation Support
The building includes braille signage and tactile warning strips near elevators, the main building entrance and staircases to support safe and independent navigation.

Parking & Transit
Accessible parking is located near the north-east entrance, and a fully accessible shuttle connects the Markham and Keele campuses, with a stop at the Markham Campus student housing building.

Testing Centre
A testing centre designed to support accommodated and alternative exam arrangements. The space features private rooms equipped with adjustable desks, adaptive lighting, and assistive technology.

Recognized for Sustainability

At Ease with Being Green
Constructed to maximize natural light, open spaces and sinuous curves, our building is as easy on the eye as it is on the environment. Four levels feature green roofs visible from above, while interiors use low-emitting sustainable materials, low-mercury lighting and high-performance glazing. Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified wood, salvaged and recycled materials, and natural stone are used throughout.
