Foundational Training: Goal Setting for Student Leaders
This workshop will challenge your understanding of leadership by exploring different definitions of leadership and inviting you to reflect on the qualities that matter most to you. You’ll also set personal leadership goals, helping you be intentional about the opportunities you pursue and mindful of the learning you gain through your experiences.
This training is mandatory if you're looking to join SLAM. Upcoming sessions:

- Wednesday, March 25 from 1:15 -2:30 p.m. in MK 2050

Conflict Resolution
When working with teams, conflict is inevitable and it’s often uncomfortable. This workshop will walk through strategies on how to best handle conflict and how to deescalate these situations. Moreover, in this workshop, we will discuss ways to minimize conflict and how leaders can help mediate conflicts between team members.
- Monday, March 9 from 5:45 - 7 p.m.

Leading Teams
Recognizing that many of our student leaders take various leadership roles on-campus, this workshop will help you learn how to be effective leaders for your teams. Using case studies and real life scenarios, you will have the opportunity to share your vision with a team, resolve conflict among team members, and effectively lead a team. In addition, we will explore imposter syndrome and how it can show up in leadership spaces — especially for high-achieving student leaders. You will learn strategies to build confidence, own your accomplishments, and lead authentically even when self-doubt arises.
- Wednesday, March 18 from 1:15 - 2:30 p.m.
