As well as at Academic Orientation, we also welcome you on Saturday January 6, 2024 (or alternately on Saturday January 20th) to talk to an incredible opportunity to meet fellow international students, build community, and to learn all about important resources and services available to you at York University!
What is Academic Orientation?
Academic Orientation is an afternoon of in-person activities that help you get connected and ready to begin classes in January. You will meet your fellow students (new students like you as well as senior students in your program), connect with your Peer Mentor (who will help you transition to university this year), say hello to some of your professors, and most importantly, get your questions answered. You’ll learn more about the resources Bethune College offers to support you during your first year, get tips for success from professors and senior students, and find out how you can get involved in university life. Oh – and you’ll get a chance to check out the university campus so you do not feel lost when classes start.
