Place the countdown near event dates or call-to-actions to drive engagement.
How to Add Modules
To add modules to the Gutenberg editor, follow these steps:
- Go to your WordPress Admin interface and open a post or page editor
- Click the plus button in the top left corner or in the body of the post/page
- You can either:
- Click on Patterns, scroll through them until you find the module you want to use or
- Search for the module you would like to add using either the module name or number
- Click the module to add it
The module will be added to the body of your post or page.
Request Your Timer
To have the countdown timer embed code, please submit a request to cpadigit@yorku.ca with the following information:
- Date and time of the countdown target (e.g., October 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST)
- Preferred variation style (see Visuals)
- URL of the webpage where the timer should be embedded
The Web Team will generate the timer and email it to you.
Add It to Your Website
- Open the page or post where you'd like the countdown to appear.
- Click the “+” button to add a new block.
- Select “Custom HTML” from the block options.
- Paste the HTML embed code provided by Digital Marketing team.
- Click “Preview” to make sure the countdown appears correctly.
- Publish or update the page.
