Breanna Simpson
Breanna Simpson is currently a doctoral candidate at York University. She received a BA in Classical Studies and English Literature (2015), as well as an MA in Ancient Culture, Religion, and Ethnicity (2017), from the University of British Columbia. She is also working on a Diploma in World Literature. Her research focuses on gender studies and queer theory, classical reception, world literature, and late Victorian fiction.
Breanna has been a teaching assistant in both the departments of Humanities and English in courses on a range of subjects, including first-year English and Introduction to Greek and Roman Mythology. As a teaching assistant at UBC, she also taught philosophy and theories of mythology.
Breanna has completed a TA Certificate in Teaching from York University (2020) and is currently participating in the Senior Teaching Assistant Program at York (2021).
