David fosters an inclusive learning environment by integrating academic theory with his decades of professional experience at Hydro One, consulting work, his role as an electricity expert with NATO’s Civil Emergency Planning – Critical Infrastructure (CI) Resiliency Division, and 15 years of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in York University’s Disaster and Emergency Management Program. His teaching is enriched by real-world experience. He is a graduate of Ryerson University (Computer Programming), holds the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) designation from Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI), and earned both an Honours Bachelor of Administrative Studies and a Master of Disaster and Emergency Management from York University.
