Andrew approaches teaching with the aim of bringing the realities of the professional world into academics and pushing students to tackle the challenges and problems facing contemporary society. His students learn the practical application of academic theory that will help them succeed in the field. Andrew has worked for six years and continues to work as an Emergency and Disaster Management Specialist in the healthcare sector for Hamilton Health Sciences. He has also built international partnerships with colleagues in the United States and England with the goal of further professionalizing healthcare emergency management.
