Charles' teaching style features multi-modal presentation of the material and combines a foundation of theoretical concepts with interactive real-world case studies to give students hands-on experience.

Charles started his career in mergers and acquisitions, where he developed his technical valuation and modeling skills. For over a decade, he has held various roles relating to corporate finance and asset management at single family offices in Toronto, where he invests primarily in public securities, private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. Charles graduated cum laude with a BCom from York University and is a CFA Charterholder. He has been teaching equity valuation at York since 2016.
