Introduction to the Linguistic Study of French
Introduction to basic linguistic concepts in phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics as they apply to French and its variants in the francophone world, including Canada. This course is a prerequisite for further study in French linguistics. A blended version of this course is to be offered on a regular basis.
Prerequisites: AP/FR 1080 6.00 (with a minimum grade of C), or AP/FR 1081 3.00 with a minimum grade of C and AP/FR 1082 3.00 with a minimum grade of C, or through language placement test, or with departmental permission.
