Pronunciation, intonation and diction are key to effective communication. Students will improve their command of the sounds, rhythm and intonation of French through intensive pronunciation and prosody practice. This course is not intended for native speakers of French.

This French linguistics course is intended for FSL (French as a Second Language) students and future FSL educators who wish to improve their oral proficiency in French for academic and/or professional reasons. Students will improve their command of spoken French through intensive pronunciation, prosody and diction practice that includes text reading, speech delivery or role playing in diverse oral communication scenarios.
