Affiliated Colleges

Welcome to your community!

Whether you live on campus or commute, your college is your community hub for socializing and accessing peer support. Our students are part of two unique college communities: Vanier & Founders.

What is a college?

York University is divided into colleges, which include students, professors, a college head and support staff. Each of the four colleges affiliated with LA&PS has a College Academic Life Coordinator, who’s in charge of supporting your engagement and academic development, and easing your transition into university.

What does my college offer?

Colleges organize academic services, such as peer mentoring, and keep you connected on campus through events like Orientation and Convocation. Colleges coordinate student get-togethers, workshops and trips. The physical college buildings have comfy spaces where you can hold study groups, prepare for presentations or relax between classes.
