Biomedical Science

Overview

Biomedical Science program is a stream under York Science's Biology Program. This specialized study provides a comprehensive curriculum that will prepare you for a career in research in the field of Biomedical Science or for medicine and other health-related professions. Research and laboratory experience begins in the first year and continues throughout your program. Biomedical Science includes courses focused on emerging areas of biomedicine, including physiology, immunology, endocrinology, and molecular genetics.

This four-year Honours stream also allows you to minor in another related discipline, such as Chemistry, Psychology, or Kinesiology & Health Science. Biomedical Science is suited to students preparing for medical school, planning to do research in a particular area of biomedicine, or entering work in biological industries.

Honours Double Major
Combine your Honours studies in Biomedical Science with another major in Science or Health (for example, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology & Health Sciences, or Psychology).

International BSc (iBSc)
