Dear FSc Researchers,
Please carefully read the attached April 1, 2024 memo from the VPRI’s Office. In general, it provides revised internal York timelines now in effect for review of research funding applications. These revised timelines are given in days prior to the external agency deadline date. They must be adhered to when funding applications are submitted to ORS. With the exception of some common Tri-Council applications, the revised internal ORS deadlines require longer review times at the University level. Details are in the memo.
FSc Internal Deadlines
In order for FSc Research Services to meet the revised ORS deadlines on your behalf, we require you to submit the following application materials to sciapps@yorku.ca 3 business days in advance of the revised ORS deadlines:
- Filled-in ORS checklist
- Draft Application with final budget
As is our standard procedure, an FSc Research Officer will do a mandatory budget check of your application and ORS checklist. If the budget is satisfactory, they will obtain the required ADRP/(Dept. Chair) signature(s). They will then submit materials to ORS (researchapps@yorku.ca) on your behalf within the required timeframe with a cc to you for your records.
The chart below has been prepared for your ease of reference in calculating when you should submit the documents to FSc Research Services taking into account both the relevant revised ORS deadline and the external agency deadline.
