In spring 2019 we asked York alumni to complete a survey to tell us how we’re doing… and you didn’t hold back! Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, and for your thoughtful responses!

I spent the summer months learning a lot from your responses; both about what we already do well and what we can do better. With thousands of respondents and over 1,200 individual comments and suggestions, there’s plenty of food for thought. Here’s what you had to say:

• You want more events and more opportunities to socialize, network, and learn, both in downtown Toronto, across the country, and around the world.
• You need more support for your career, whether it’s online modules, continuing education, or career counselling.
• You’re looking for more meaningful ways to engage with current York students and make an impact on student life, both in and out of the classroom.
• You’re interested in communications that are more relevant to your experience and interests, and much more news about how York is thriving as a leading educational institution.

Over the coming months we’ll be taking measures to enhance our communications, events and services based on your feedback, and I hope you’ll be impressed by what you see.
