Undergraduate Programs - DRAFT

Undergraduate Programs offer two distinct pathways for individuals interested in learning and education. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) prepares future teachers for classroom teaching and a recommendation for certification with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). The Bachelor of Arts (BA) Educational Studies explores how education shapes individuals and society.

Undergraduate Degrees

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

York offers two teacher education delivery models–Concurrent and Consecutive–leading to either a Bachelor of Education (BEd) or a BEd Technological Education degree and a recommendation for certification with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).

Bachelor of Arts (BA), Educational Studies - International and Domestic Students

The BA, Educational Studies degree provides students with a broad understanding of how and why people learn, and what role education plays in society outside the traditional classroom setting.
