Introduces a variety of music traditions from world cultures and Western art music to explore questions such as 'What am I listening to? Where is it from?'. Focus on active listening skills, with an introduction to basic terminology and theory, and explorations in broader cultural and social contexts of music-making to explore deeper ways to experience and engage with music. No previous musical training is required. Not open to music majors or minors.
