Textual Linguistics of Written French
This course focuses on advanced written French by means of linguistic analysis, with particular attention paid to the referential function of language and the linguistic markers that assure functional continuity. Among the principles studied are referential mechanisms, cohesion, coherence, and stylistic devices.
Prerequisites: AP/FR 2100 6.00 (with a minimum grade of C).
