York Science Scholars Award
The York Science Scholars Award is a combined scholarship and research placement award worth $10,000 in total. The YSSA consists of a $5,000 entrance award plus an additional $5,000 following a guaranteed summer research position following the first year of study. This award is considered separately, and in addition to, other York University or Science admissions awards or scholarships.
Yavin Family International Science Student Scholarship
This scholarship was created to benefit first-year Faculty of Science international students who show exemplary academic achievement and extra-curricular participation in their field of study. Each recipient of this scholarship will be awarded $25,000.
Helen Freedhoff First Year Award
The Helen Freedhoff First Year Award offers $5000 upon full-time enrolment to York University's Faculty of Science in the Physics and Astronomy department. The recipient will also be eligible for additional $5000 contingent upon successful completion of a 12 week experiential component.
Schulich Leader Scholarships
Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada’s most coveted undergraduate scholarships. One hundred are awarded to entrepreneurial high school graduates entering STEM who were nominated by their high schools. The scholarships for science and math students are valued at $100,000 each.
