YU Start - New Student Transition Program
If your program’s enrolment is done through YU Start (go back to step 1 to see if it is required), you will log into YU Start using your Passport York to complete the online modules.
You will learn about York’s services and supports; learn about your program; the courses you need to take in your first year; how to build your timetable and how to enrol into your courses.

Your Enrolment Appointment
If you must attend an enrolment appointment (go back to step 1 to see if it is required), you will attend an Enrolment Appointment online, through Zoom. In the Enrolment appointment you will learn about Bethune College supports, speak one-on-one with an advisor, build your schedule and learn how to enrol into your courses.
Your appointment will begin promptly, so make sure you are on time!
A Zoom link to your appointment will be sent out on the Friday before your scheduled appointment.
Email sciappts@yorku.ca if you haven’t received your Zoom link or if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment.

What To Bring To Your Advising Appointment
- York Student Number (Same as the York Reference Number listed in your Offer of Admission letter)
- Your Passport York username and password
- Questions you have about your degree
Before Leaving Your Appointment
If you must attend an enrolment appointment, you will be sent the Zoom details prior to the appointment.
In your appointment you will confirm your information is correct on My Online Services. Ensure your Passport York account is activated.
Reminder: Please ensure your personal information is updated, i.e. your address and phone number, your email address, your emergency contact and your security questions.
You will learn how to enrol using the Visual Schedule Builder and the Registration and Enrolment Module (REM) before leaving the meeting and try to add some of your courses so your enrolment can be checked.
You may also view your official timetable after enrolling to confirm you’ve added your selected course and times.
