Objective
Through this competition, IMHA supports further research and knowledge mobilization activities for eligible applicants and recognizes fundamental knowledge creation, multiple ways of knowing, non-traditional research methods, and outputs. This funding opportunity seeks to reward research excellence achieved in the broad IMHA mandate areas by awarding prizes in the form of a supplemental grant to support further research.
Support will be provided for research completed in the following five (5) research domains:
- Research Impact
- Team Science
- Open Science
- Patient Engagement
- Indigenous Health Research

CIHR will be hosting the following webinar to support participants with the requirements of the funding opportunity and to answer questions on how to apply.

Duration: 90 minutes
Language: English presentation followed by a period of questions and answers in both official languages, English and French
How to Apply
York University researchers are reminded that all applications for external research funding, including Letters of Intent, must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Research Services before they are submitted to the granting agency. For internal approval, the application must be accompanied by a completed ORS Checklist, which requires the Dean’s signature. Please send the complete application, with the finalized budget and a completed ORS checklist to sciapps@yorku.ca, five days prior to agency deadline.
