Objective
- To support young investigators working at Ontario institutions.
- To assist biomedical scientists of various departments and faculties in Ontario universities, hospitals and scientific institutions concerned with medical research. These grants may be distributed among medical research institutions and universities in Ontario.
Eligibility
Grants are made to assist biomedical scientists of various departments and faculties in Ontario universities, hospitals and scientific institutions concerned with medical research. These grants may be distributed among medical research institutes and universities in Ontario.
The online application may be submitted from any medically oriented university faculty. These may be within the health sciences department of a university, or any faculty of that university.
Medical institutes within a university or hospital must be approved to apply independently; otherwise they must apply through the university or hospital research office. Independent research institutes may apply directly.
How to Apply
Only one application is accepted from each university. Therefore, York researchers are requested to submit one (1) electronic copy of the application directly to research@yorku.ca by 9:00am on Friday, March 3, 2023. The granting agency’s deadline is Monday, May 1st. Potential applicants are required to submit early to allow ORS to coordinate a peer review process if necessary to select the one application that York can submit.
Applicants must complete the attached application form and submit to ORS for adjudication by the York Internal Review Committee. PLEASE NOTE, applicants CANNOT use the on-line portal for the first stage of the application process. The attached application form must be completed in full and submitted to research@yorku.ca by 9:00am on Friday, March 3, 2023. Please see below for further details.
